Achievement of Programmatic Status demonstrates that the local medical center has the structures, processes, and outcomes in nursing research and EBP excellence. Additionally, the Programmatic Status application aligns with the 2023 ANCC Magnet^®  application for the fulfillment of evidence on nursing knowledge requirements for research.

As of 2024,  there are a total of 10  medical centers who have been awarded this honor.
